Frequently asked questions

What you should know.

Clear expectations before you make a commitment.

Do I need to travel to India?

Not necessarily. Some administrative steps can be coordinated remotely, while others may require your presence or a valid authorisation. Requirements depend on the institution, state and nature of your matter. We identify these before agreeing the scope.

Is Litresolve a law firm?

No. Litresolve provides administrative coordination. Legal advice, drafting, representation, tax advice and other regulated services are provided by independently engaged qualified professionals. You are free to choose your own advocate and advisers.

Can I use my own lawyer or chartered accountant?

Yes. We can coordinate administrative tasks with your existing advocate, chartered accountant or other qualified adviser, subject to your authorisation and their agreement. Their engagement and professional fees remain separate.

How are fees decided?

Coordination fees depend on the agreed scope and complexity. The scope, exclusions and fees should be confirmed in writing before work begins. Professional, government and third-party charges are separate and should be disclosed before you approve them.

Can you guarantee recovery or a specific outcome?

No. Outcomes depend on entitlement, records, institutional decisions, law and other factors beyond our control. We commit to a defined coordination process, not a guaranteed recovery, approval or legal result.

What should I share in my first enquiry?

A short description, the Indian state involved and your desired outcome are enough. Do not include passport numbers, tax identification numbers, account numbers or sensitive documents. Any later document exchange needs an agreed secure channel.
